The International Foundation for Research in Experimental Economics (IFREE) was established in 1997 by Dr. Vernon L. Smith to support research and education in experimental economics. Today, IFREE remains the only foundation annually supporting experimental economics research projects, scholarly development of pre and post doc students, speaker series, and seminars and workshops in experimental economics.

SUCCESS at IFREE IFREE's role as a 501(c)(3) public foundation depends on the support not only of private foundations, but on the many gifts of supporters who believe in what IFREE is accomplishing in funding research, graduate, undergraduate and high school workshops, intern programs, pre and post doc support, speaker series, and outreach workshops in experimental science at several universities.
