"My research is primarily focused on characterizing price dynamics in markets organized under a variety of institutional frameworks. I typically use general equilibrium theory to develop theoretical predictions of aggregate behavior, and then implement multi-good/asset laboratory economies to assess their outcomes relative to the theoretical benchmarks. Recent research in this area includes extending research on bubbles to a consumption-based asset pricing setting, and incorporating production, incomplete markets, and lending/collateral into experimental designs.
I am also interested in studying market consequences of individual behavioral deviations from standard economic theory. For example, if individual preferences are assumed to be reference dependent in a particular way, I am interested in characterizing how such preferences impact market outcomes, and testing such characterizations through experimental designs. For another example, I have been studying the interaction and stability of social preferences in dynamic group settings."
